The vibrant and intensely colorful world of Indian food is known for its wide range of spices and large assortment of dishes which has found an ever-increasing fan base all over the world. For many it may be a diversity to their everyday meal however for Indian families it carries a traditional meaning. Some meals are associated, for example, with certain occasions or Hindu festivals. Thus Gujhiya, a sweet deep-fried dumpling, is only made for the festival of Holi in the beginning of the year, or a large number of varied dishes are cooked at family get-togethers.
As an Indian family living in Switzerland, we share these values with other families from our home country. For us, Indian cuisine is a part of our culture which we continue to practice. Sitting around the dining table and enjoying the spicy food not only reminds of our roots but also helps us forget the huge distance we bear to the food’s origin. Cooking the meal with spices that were grown and processed in India and some know-how gives it a touch of home, we do not find outside. Therefore, we decided to share this delightful feeling with the people around us by creating a catering service providing the opportunity to experience the feeling of Indian culture themselves.
We share this feeling with you through the flavors of Indian streets and the typical food called Chaat which is sold there. Chaat is nothing more than a variety of finger food that is very common in India and highly enjoyable to eat with loved ones. It would be our pleasure to spread the flavors of Indian streets among your friends and family.
